Rogue Cell Gameplay Trailer
The gameplay trailer for Rogue Cell is done, check it out!
I’ve also uploaded the full resolution Rogue Cell’s store page on Steam, and have updated the page to include something new about the game. Spoilers: Arcade Mode!
It was always in the back of my mind to include some kind of post-game content, given how short the core game is. Short and sweet is what I’ve been aiming for with this project, but it felt a bit too short, and I wanted the game to feel like it had enough value. With the addition of an Arcade Mode, I feel like the game is more well rounded.
Arcade Mode takes many of the core mechanics from the game, and pays homage to “Agar.io” by pitting the player against other cells. This single-player, competitive mode uses small AI personalities and (mostly) fake usernames to give the feeling that players are playing against other players. Players will aim to absorb mass and cells to grow larger in real time (no upgrades in this mode!) and increase their score to get on the leaderboard. As players grow, they slow down, but they’ll always retain the dash ability.
I can’t wait for people to try it. In the meantime, check out the trailer below for a sneak peak!
